Aida Manouchehrpour

Founder of Musicando • Classical Singer • Music Educator • Música do Círculo Facilitator

Aida Manouchehrpour is a classical singer, music educator, community music facilitator, and the founder of Musicando, a creative music practice based in Sydney’s Inner West. Trained in classical voice and opera at the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome, her artistic journey moves fluidly between performance, education, intercultural collaboration, and participatory music-making.

With almost two decades of experience across performance and music education, Aida has worked with singers, musicians, children, and adults from diverse cultural and artistic backgrounds. Alongside her private teaching practice in voice and piano, her work increasingly focuses on creating inclusive musical experiences that foster creativity, confidence, connection, and self-expression.

Aida has completed the full facilitator training in Música do Círculo, the internationally recognised Brazilian methodology centred on collective music-making, improvisation, rhythm, listening, and collaboration. She is currently the only facilitator in Australia to have completed the full Música do Círculo leadership training. Through this work, she facilitates singing circles, vocal improvisation experiences, community music gatherings, and team-building experiences for organisations, inviting people into a deeper relationship with their own voice and with one another.

As a performer, Aida continues to collaborate across a range of artistic projects. Most recently, she was featured as a vocalist on Convergence, the acclaimed album by Persian-Australian composer and tar virtuoso Hamed Sadeghi, produced by ABC Classic. The album brings together Persian classical traditions and Western classical music, with Aida performing as the featured vocalist on several tracks.

Through Musicando and her broader artistic practice, Aida is passionate about creating spaces where music becomes a shared experience rather than a performance alone. Her work is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique musical voice, and that music can be a powerful tool for connection, creativity, wellbeing, and belonging.
